Shields Motorsports

Established in 2024, Shields Motorsports is a budding family race team in Mooresville, NC racing quarter midget race cars.  Team Drivers and Team Handlers are members at their local track, the North Carolina Quarter Midget Association (NCQMA)  in Salisbury, NC.  NCQMA is sanctioned by the NASCAR Youth Series and the United States Auto Club (USAC) by which they are also members.   

Their home track offers 20+ club races per year including a 12-race Club Championship Series, and a 6-race Summer Series, and hosts a couple of national and regional race events ~such series as the Carolina Clash, sponsored by HMS Motorsports; and the Dixie Shootout Series.  The NASCAR Youth Series offers a national series that we hope to participate in during the 2025 season.

Shields Motorsports plans to expand in its 2nd season, 2025. A second driver, a younger sibling, will start racing and working her way up the Rookie Program until she graduates to whatever competitive class she qualifies for at that time. 

The team hopes to expand and experience race events at other .25 midget tracks in the Southeast as well as participate in a few NASCAR Youth Series events across the country... in Indy, Music City, Richmond, Darlington and Charlotte.
